Characterization is an essential aspect of storytelling, and without it, a story is incomplete. Through the characters, the story progresses, and the plot remains engaging. One of the qualities of storytelling is that the characters depicted in the stories should reflect real, living individuals from society. The dialogues of the characters should be according to the context and beautifully expressed, as it is through these characters that the story moves forward. The character of Ranjha, created by Damodar Das, is a major character in this story, through whom the narrative unfolds. In this story, Ranjha's character is elevated by Heer, who later becomes the central figure of the tale.
