The distinctive temperament, various trends and inclinations of modern Urdu poets promoted thematic and structural experiments and changes. The poems of each poet have a different style and harmony in terms of subject and form. Some poets, through their creative, industrial and innovative process, created new forms of poetry to accommodate new themes in the poem. Modern poets have expanded the canvas of poetry by associating it with new themes and new words. Poets have deviated from the conventional forms of the poems, the fixed rhythm, the number of stanzas, the number of verse in stanzas. Rashid,s poetry is a reflection of the inner world, the free construction of the individual, the dominance of sadness and deprivation. Natural, political, social and economic elements are seen in his poems. Meera Ji has made fear, loneliness, sex, restlessness, oppression, exploitation, moral, values and inner feelings and moods the subject. Majeed Amjad,s poems deal with class differences, human tragedy, mystical thought and the consciousness of the universe. Faiz has included political, social, economic, love and beloved topics in his poems.
